February is American Heart Month, so I think it is important to note that there are more than 2 million heart attacks and strokes a year..and 800,000 deaths that are heart disease related. 1 in 3 deaths are stroke and heart disease related, making cardiovasular disease the leading cause of death in the US! This is scary.
You are worth taking care of, so learn about ways you can care for and protect that heart of yours! It is a simple as avoiding trans fats or reducing your sodium intake. Watch your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Be physically active and eat foods such as avocado, salmon, garlic, fruits and veggies that are heart healthy and rich in disease fighting antioxidants!
