Weekend Homework!

Inspired Fitness will be closed from Friday through Monday, back to regular schedule Tuesday(see you all for yoga and body sculpt!). If you are a regular attender of the classes, I want you to know that I will be thinking of you all weekend and will be looking forward to seeing you again next week!
If you wake up Saturday morning totally bummed that you didnt have to set your alarm to make sure you got up in time to class, here are a few ideas for you to keep you motivated and moving! Get out in the sunshine and soak up the amazing weather we should be having in the next few days! Spend time with family and friends! Try a new healthy recipe for dinner! Enjoy life this weekend :)
HOMEWORK*
1. Try something a little different, get a workout in outside of the class room! Go for a hike (you can google desert hiking trails..there are so many great ones!), swim laps in the pool, take a nice long bike ride, run around with the kids at the park. Let me know what other ideas you come up with!
2. Put on some music and follow this routine:
-Warm up with 20 jumping jacks
-20 wide leg squats (with a weight even better!)
   -10 pushups
   -20 crunches
-True body sculpt fashion, go outside and run around the block (or further!)
   -10 pushups
   -20 lunges (20 each side!)
-Hold plank, try for 1 minute, 3 times
Do this Friday, Saturday, relax and rest Sunday, do it again Monday
Get back to me Tuesday! I want to know what you did over the weekend! Love you all a bunch!

Valentines Day- Love your Heart!

Happy Valentines Day! February is American Heart Month, so I think it is important to note that there are more than 2 million heart attacks and strokes a year..and 800,000 deaths that are heart disease related. 1 in 3 deaths are stroke and heart disease related, making cardiovasular disease the leading cause of death in the US! This is scary.
You are worth taking care of, so learn about ways you can care for and protect that heart of yours! It is a simple as avoiding trans fats or reducing your sodium intake. Watch your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Be physically active and eat foods such as avocado, salmon, garlic, fruits and veggies that are heart healthy and rich in disease fighting antioxidants! This month, pass this info along to friends or family that may need a way up call, lets battle heart disease together!

Zumba Fitness!

Stuck in a workout rut?! Need a good laugh with some girl friends?! Want to lose inches and feel stronger & sexier?! TRY ZUMBA! We had such a great class thanks to all the ladies who came to dance in their 80's inspired outfits! Perfect way to start our Saturday morning...getting together with other ladies and working up a sweat...and having fun doing it. With upbeat music, dance routines that engage the whole body for an effective workout, and a sense of community as you get to know fellow classmates...it really doesn't get much better!  See you in class!!
